LFW: Day 1

Leather, pastel and oversized with a side of python for Day 1 at LFW.

Day 1 at London Fashion Week. It was a jam-packed day with back-to-back shows from Somerset House to Freemason's (Fashion Scout) and back. Caught up with friends at Somerset House and met lots of new bloggers and photographers.

LFW kicked off with the Felder Felder show at Freemason's where the Felder sisters showcased a stunning collection with a mix of textures and cutout designs for the young customer. Jean Pierre Braganza stayed true to his style with a black, grey and white-based collection with some oriental influences (kimono sleeves on jacquard tops) as well as prints of Rococo portraits (Marie Antoinette's powdered 'mouton' hair portrait plastered on swing skirts and silk tops).

Loved the up and coming designers at Fashion Scout. Zeynep Tosun's collection was beautiful; she showcased laser cut finished edges on leather jackets and pencil skirts, chunky knits and brown leather overalls - the models strutted down the catwalk with pom-pom beanies worn with effortless ease. My favourite outfit was a ivory white pencil skirt and oversized turtleneck knit, topped off with a knitted, off-white beanie - it was perfect.

I fell in love with John Rocha's A/W 2014 collection on Saturday; we saw beautiful organza silk in super sized ruffles as well as laser cut vinyl and lace on skirts and tops. A lot of black but also some gorgeous deep red silk dresses which stole the show. Definitely a favourite.

Also worked backstage at Antonio Berardi on Monday, which was incredible. Berardi's collection is stunning, with fitted dresses decorated with intricate beading and embellishments, structures bomber jackets and coats. The colour palette was kept to a minimum with mainly grey, white and black but there are also a few stunning forest green and vivid purple pieces which I loved for Autumn. All the shoes are Rupert Sanderson for Antonio Berardi - sexy lace-up ankle boots in black as well as endless thigh-highs for the ultimate cool. So obsessed.

This was my outfit from Day 1; went for three trends in one with leather, pastel pink and an oversized coat. I'm overjoyed to say I was featured on Grazia UK, Asos and Missguided, to name but a few!! Was a rainy and dreary day but thankfully, managed to get some good shots in between shows.

I wore: Trousers, Acne. Cropped knit, Zara. Coat, Helene Berman. Heels, Alexander Wang. Clutch, Zara. Earcuff, Asos.

LFW may be over but I'm going to Paris soon - my first time at PFW. Stay up to date; follow my Instagram account @pinkmanolos and let me know so I follow back!
