London Fashion Week: Day 5

Attended the fifth and last day of London Fashion Week. I gave my feet no mercy these past four days so will be living in UGGs and trainers for the next few weeks - seriously!

Today I wore Mango trousers, an Asos statement cross necklace which I pinned to my H&M angora sweater, a Helene Berman coat, Karen Walker sunnies, an H&M hat, Prada shoes and a CĂ©line bag.

Met up with my friends Marco and Sebastian (Sebastian is a blogger at Sevali) after attending the A/W 2013 catwalk show of Ekaterina Kukhareva at Fashion Scout. It was a pretty collection and it had a sort of retro feel to it with hair rollers and lots of red lipstick everywhere. The collection included many pinks, reds and purples as well as fitted silhouettes - very feminine. Also spotted some people from Made in Chelsea outside while queuing to get in!

I then attended another show at 6pm back at Somerset House with Sebastian and Marco - it was the debut collection of Haizhen Wang and it was a huge show. The venue was massive and packed with people and photographers and the music was booming all around. It was a very cool collection with lots of oversized coats in strict shapes - there was this one black cropped jacket with lots of zippers - some half-open, others zipped closed; it had the coolest shape with random, angular sections of fabric hanging loose. It was quite minimalistic and yet still a little outrageous, with a lot of weird shapes, textures and volumes. As a first collection, I think it was made to wow and inspire and I think the designer achieved that. It was really dynamic and impressive.
Finally, Marco, Sebastian and I split as the two of them had to run to a show in Mayfair and I had to go to another - Tahir Sultan's A/W collection - back at Fashion Scout again. Last show of the day and of London Fashion Week, I sat front row with a fellow blogger, Magdalena, who I met in the queue as well as designer and stylist, Neco. It is quite a beautiful collection with some different concepts; it is also feminine, some models were draped with flowy garments and all had their hair curled and had shiny burgundy lipstick. Tahir Sultan came out at the end and walked all along the runway very dynamically, struck a fierce pose for the photographers at the end, then turned around and strutted all the way back, turned around, gave us a wink, a smile and a slight bow for 'thanks' and ran off. I think that left everyone with a smile as it was quite a show and he was so sympathetic - I loved it!

Finally home and soaking my feet in icy cold water. Have a photoshoot tomorrow at Uni and tons of other projects to work on - I'm exhausted! Can't wait till Monday when all my assessments will be over and I will have a few days off to just do nothing!

Stay tuned for a London Fashion Week Street Style post, coming up tomorrow evening.

Good night! xxx
