dolce delights

For those of you who follow me on Instagram @pinkmanolos (let me know and I'll follow back!), you'll know that I'm back in Greece now and enjoying the sun, food and sea. Needless to say, I've long needed this vacation after working very hard on my final projects and then on a photoshoot as well as backstage at my Uni's fashion show! 

The last few months have been hectic but I'm tanned, relaxed and in summer mode now so stay tuned for future blog posts, several of which will include the two Dolce and Gabbana items I snagged from the Sloane Street boutique right before returning to Athens. So exciting to be on my summer holidays and I apologise again for having been MIA but brace yourselves, cause I'll be spamming your Dashboards!

pink suede

There is something just so perfect about my new pink suede crop jacket. Light, soft, just the right shade of dirty pink. Love it thrown over a total-black look. Sartorial perfection. London weather has been wondrous these days - lots of sun and blue skies and heat! Finally an excuse to wear sunnies.

I was actually wearing some pieces (the blouse and clutch) from the new collection paired with Mango skinnies, boots from Missguided.com and a fur coat I bought in Paris about two years ago.

Last night I attended the Next POTO event in London. I arrived at around 6pm and immediately met Camilla from Into The Fold - her blog is great, can't get enough of her laid-back fashion posts and witty writing style - and we were greeted at the door with VIP passes and flutes of bubbly Prosecco which we happily sipped as we browsed the racks of Next's latest collection.

Just like last time, we were each given tags with our blogs' name on to "tag" our favourite pieces from the collection as we looked around which I absolutely love doing, although, once my tags seemed to run out, it became more and more of a challenge as to where my last tags would go - so hard to choose! There were some beautiful bright coral reds, blues, pinks as well as some simpler, more monochrome pieces and pastels floating around. I absolutely loved the holographic heels and purse - a must-have for this Spring/Summer. You can view the Blogger's Edit here.

A while later, I saw Jo from Fifty-six Freckles who I met at the Next Fashion Lock-in a few months ago and it wasn't long before we crammed ourselves into the photobooth with Camilla and spammed it with our whacky shots!

Soon, the room filled up with lots of chatty bloggers, tagging items, taking pictures and munching away at the gorgeous canapés coming by (mini pizzas, burgers and - yes - even little pouches of fish and chips!!) While the DJ played some our favourite 90's tunes (we could request songs and I, of course, requested Britney's "Baby One More Time" - love her forever!!!!), some of us (guilty) filled up a little striped candy baggie with sugary sweets from the pick 'n' mix stand right by the door - how great?!

I had such a good time meeting other bloggers and all the cool people from Next. It was such an enjoyable 90's-themed evening and I can't wait till the next Next event (haha) for some more fashion and fun!
